QR menus: what they are and how they help a restaurant

A QR menu is a restaurant's menu that customers open on their own phone by scanning a code on the table. There's no app to download: the page opens in the browser.

A menu that's always up to date

Changing a price on a paper menu means reprinting it. On a QR menu, a price, a new dish or a "sold out" label changes in a minute, and customers see it straight away.

Photos and descriptions

Paper has limited space. On a phone every dish can have a photo and a list of ingredients, so customers know what they're ordering.

Several languages

A menu in an unfamiliar language is hard for tourists. A QR menu shows the same dishes in Armenian, Russian or English, following the phone's language.

Ordering from the table

The next step is ordering straight from the phone. Customers don't wait for the waiter, orders arrive in writing with the table number, and the waiter has more time for service.

What doesn't change

A QR menu doesn't replace the waiter. It takes routine off their hands (bringing menus, writing orders, adding up bills) so they can pay more attention to customers.
